few words...by gulzar

"Mujhko bhi tarkeeb sikhado yaar jhulahe
aksar tujhko dekha hai ek taana bunte
jab koi dhaaga toot gaya ya khatm hua
fir se bandhke aur sira koi jod ke usme aage boon ne lagte ho
tere is taane me lekin ek bhi gaanth gira munter ki dekh nahi sakta hai koi
maine to ek baar buna tha ek hi rishta
lekin uski saari girne saaf nazar aati hai mere yar jhulahe

mujhko bhi tarkeeb sikhado yaar jhulahe..
mujhko bhi tarkeeb sikhado yaar jhulahe......"

--Gulzar speaks (marasim)

love this paraphrase spoken in magical voice of gulzar...
i can hear it again and again...and somehow i feel this is so much apt.
Relationships...we build, nourish, sow them with care and love..
sometimes though...not successful as always...and then remembering were was the little place were i didnt listen properly or spoke so loudly cudnt hear them say....
maybe i lost it all with one knot on another building and finally it had to be just become a memory...
is there any perfect way to save it or shud i say build a perfect relationship...dont think so..

guess there is and can never be a perfect relationship.. but to get something close to that atleast, loads of trust and love ought to be there....... whew the first few lines in italics are not something i comprehend ;-) but this one i liked a lot "remembering were was the little place were i didnt listen properly or spoke so loudly cudnt hear them say"

as far as relationships r concerned, i do think there is a formula for every kind of relationship. but do u know exactly what kind of relationship u r looking for ?

Bhumi,

Touching post yar! :)

Gulzar is a bit complicated for a mind like mine.[For eg.: Gulbosh kabhi iterayen kahin, mehake to nazar aajaye kahin ????!!!!] But this was very good. I loved it. Didn't understand it fully till I read your english translation though! ;)

Keep writing!

PS: You are being blogrolled!

hi

i didnt mean to say that "u r looking for a relationship." i meant the formula depends on what kind of relationship u r looking for ? this was in general sense.

and u interested in formula, lol, but u just mentioned u r not looking for any kind of relationship...hehe, just kidding.

First time on your blog. And I really liked it! Nice lines by Gulzar. And I don't think a relationship founded by a specific 'formula' will last long! You do need these essentials though...love (and lots of it!), trust, honesty, mutual respect and understanding! When you have these things with a person, the rest will automatically fall in place. And of course, I think that there is no relationship in this world which is deviod of compromises. But when you have those 5 magical things with him/her, a compromise is a small price to pay. :-)
