Movies unlimited... :)

Last weekend was full of movies...starting from friday night till sunday:p...Watching moviesthts wht am using my laptop for these days...No work et all !! Week full of some awesome movies with great weather....breezy most of the times :)

last nigth saw Million Dollar Baby . In simple words was just an amazing movie! Hadnt seen a movie made with such conviction in last many days..actually sobbed at the end.Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank and Justin Huffman were just brilliant....Hilary Swank in her Missouri girl accent is awesome..not to say the movie hangover is still on :) There's one point in the movie when a common girl turned fighter is leaving for a big match and Frankie(Clint), her coach asks her how do u want to go there..fly or drive, She smilingly replies "Fly there, drive back !" She might have said it unknowingly but probably this time the almighty listened to her wish and his reply was indeed a sad one..Her life, her dreams everything changes and the story has a tragic end.

This made me feel, are we actually carving our own destiny?? Our dreams, wishes, accomplishments.. is that what we who are moving towards it or its there because it had to happen. Is it all written up there?.. u are just playing your role.. Maggie loved her father-- she lost him in early age, she wanted to be the champion fighter, even tht was taken away from her...so near to her wish-come-true and in one small second she's on death bed...It was destiny's cruel joke on her wish she uttered some days before..U dont which of ur wishes will be granted when..and most importantly HOW!! be careful before asking anything thts wht it means..And also maybe we all used to see all the flowery ends to movies, this movie shows some reality, something that actually happens with most of us...

Other names in the movies list are..Be Cool, Meet the Fockers and Sisterhood of Travelling Pants... Be cool is hillarious comedy, just loved it, John Trovolta is indeed great to watch..Same with MTF, big names in it and so it proves to be not to be missed ones!!

Travelling Pants was a great movie talking bout 4 close friends, all of their b'days falling in single week !! and the story moves ahead with the pants.. Guess i much recognized myself to the character named Lena :) played by Alexis Bledel. Enjoied every bit of it with roomies!

Many more are coming up for next week, be ready for tht :p

Yeah Bhumi...I loved the Travelling pants movie. Especially the bond between the four friends. Also, I really liked the cute little girl with lukemia. Haven't seen the other movies.

"Its not the pants that make things happen. Things happens when they have to and the pants were the witness to those events happening in our lives. We just need a witness for good or for bad."

There were some nice lines from the movie. Same things happen with us. We need a port to let through..and reason the happenings around us.

@Sujata: Yeah..thts true, their lives had to change tht summer, the pants were just the witnesses for all of them and they kept them conected tht way :) I like those lines too..Its a nice girly pick after long time....i cud relate to the movie, as i too have few close frnds n we've shared some gr8 time together :)

Watch the other movies esp. Million Dollar Baby whenever u get chance..wont regret the time spent on them!!!

@Puneet: Ya..U were right on this one..:P
i guess sometimes...death makes its mark in our life when it departs us from our loved ones, thens when you know the essence of ppl who mean the most and Life itself.

well, I told you SOFTP was a good movie. didn't I? ;) Well, turned into movieblog eh?

Million Dollar Baby deserved what it got. wonderfully woven movie. Clint Eastwood knows how to weave a story well. He is a good actor, but too good director, IMHO. If you are interested in some western movies or somewhat offbeat movie you should watch Unforgiven and Mystic River sometimes
